Kits needed: A barcoding kit is repeated until it covers the samples, the cells and the libraries: units = the largest of samples ÷ samples per kit, total cells ÷ cells per kit, and libraries needed ÷ max libraries per kit, rounded up. Each unit produces at least one library.

Purchase price: every kit on the order — barcoding units plus whole library prep kits.

Experiment cost: charges the barcoding kits in full — they're consumed per run — but only the library prep reactions this experiment actually uses; the balance is carried forward as reagent for the next run.
